WHO WE ARE
BW Industrial Graphics was founded in 1968, primarily as a small Industrial Distribution company. In 1992, there was a growing need from some of the existing clientele to find a supplier for engraved legends plates. In response to that need, the first engraving machine was purchased allowing BW Industrial Graphics to supply small plastic and metal nameplates to some of the existing customers.
As demand began to increase, two additional rotary engraving machines were added to improve product flexibility as well as response time. A short time after, a laser engraving machine was purchased to give the added capability of engraving on a wide variety of metals in addition to streamlining the reverse engraving process, through enhanced quality and speed.
In 1999, BW Industrial Graphics was supplying an increasing number of customers with unique, custom reverse engraved overlays in small quantities. It became increasingly more apparent, however, that there was a widening gap between the need for a single, custom, full color overlay, and needing a full production run of overlays normally supplied by a traditional screen printer. It was at this time, BW Industrial Graphics introduced a product that they called “Inst-A-Screen.” This process quickly became an option for many customers, giving them the ability to purchase overlays in prototype as well as smaller production quantities, without incurring die and color charges, which were common in traditional screen-printed overlays. With this new capability, these overlays could also be completed in days instead of weeks.
These benefits have proven to be invaluable to many OEM and manufacturing companies, who’s business model is “Just In Time” production. With this new “Inst-A-Screen” process, customers now needed only order custom overlays in quantities that suited their unique production schedule and eliminate the need purchase and stock hundreds of different overlays. Presently, BW Industrial Graphics supplies customers throughout the country and the world with timely, cost-effective engraved and printed products, while maintaining a focus on new equipment and capabilities that will meet the ever-changing needs of our diverse customer base.
